Split is the largest city in Dalmatia, the second largest city in Croatia and it’s the home of the Diocletian’s Palace, numerous religious buildings, squares and other attractions. Boarding on the ferry to Brač is around 4:00 pm and arrival at the hotel is scheduled around 5:30 pm, followed by a Dalmatian buffet dinner with waiters in navy shirts.

Breakfast and then we start a full day excursion on the island of Brač. The island of Brač is the third largest Croatian island, but also the largest Dalmatian island. A visit to Škrip, the oldest settlement on Brač, is a true reminder of the island’s rich history. Afterwards, we visit “Vidova gora”, where can you enjoy a spectacular view of the famous Bol beach “Zlatni rat” and the islands of Hvar, Vis and Korčula, from an altitude of 778 m. “Zlatni rat” beach is one of the most famous symbols of Croatian tourism. After the “Zlatni rat”, we are introduced to the tradition of processing Brač-stone in the stone-masonry school in Pučišća, the only one in Croatia and this part of Europe. We return to the hotel in Supetar, dinner.

After breakfast, the olive picking day begins. The olive is considered one of the oldest foods known for more than 5000 years. It is mentioned in the Bible and is considered both food and medicine. As we listen to the Dalmatian Klapa song, we pick olives, eat “fritule” and drink schnapps. Water and juice will also be available. At around 1 pm, we have lunch – “marenda”. On the menu will be – mixed meat, sour cabbage, potatoes, salad, tangerines, biscuits, wine, beer,… The best olive pickers will be rewarded with olive oil, spices and local wine. After this day rich of taste and aroma, we return to the hotel to enjoy a real Dalmatian dinner.

Breakfast and drive to the city of Metković. Metković’s geographical location and the Neretva valley to the sea make it exceptional among Mediterranean cities. We take the boat along the Neretva River and participate in tangerine picking. Each picking participant get 3 kg of tangerines as a souvenir from this area. Afterwards, we have lunch accompanied with good local wine and sounds of the Dalmatian Klapa.
